This was one of the best places I’ve stayed at. The location and hospitality was perfect. If you prefer to chill and relax, without the hustle and bustle of the city - this place is for you. The amazing pool area and breakfast were a very beautiful surprise. Lili and her team are very welcoming and knowledgeable and always around to chat.
Really amazing lodge! This has been my 2nd time here now and love this place. 🧡 The staff is incredibly friendly and the pool and jacuzzi plus all the common spaces are so relaxing and beautiful! Plus the breakfast is great!! Can definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing stay a little bit away from the center.

If I were selfish, I’d keep this to myself, but I feel generous today :). I’ve traveled quite a bit, and this is by far the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at.
The amenities are outstanding: an outdoor gym, swimming pool, hot tub, cozy sofas, just to name a few. The dorm rooms offer privacy with curtains around each bed. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The breakfast is fantastic, and if you’re lucky, you might even get pancakes 😉 ! Renting a car is definitely recommended, but Uber are also very affordable. The location is perfect to explore the Algarve, try SUP, surf, kayaking to see the caves by the sea. I personally came here to kite surf - the spot is just a 30-minute drive away - and will absolutely be back as soon as I can!

Received a very warm welcome by the friendliest of staff. Certainly felt at home, which is a unique experience and much appreciated.
The outdoor area is a dream! Fully equipped gym, swimming pool, hot tub, premium lounge area and an outdoor bar.

I can’t tell you how incredible this property is. The beds are comfortable. Everyone on site (guest and staff) were lovely. The properties amenities— lounge chairs, pool, hot tub are wonderful during the summer days. Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, perfect avocados, and either pancakes or waffles. This hostel is only 10-15 mins from Lagos. It’s a short 20 min walk into Luz. I was able to Uber/Bolt everywhere for ~5-10€. Lily ran a load of laundry for me since I was a week into my month long trip. I booked 3 excursions and went on 2. I did the 7 hanging valley hike self-led with the All Trails app. Dogs beach wine with Chris (do it for the dogs and the lunch of the beach)! Last excursion was the golden coast cruise (all of these are listed on the adventure page of Vida Boa’s website). I wish I would’ve stayed longer, this place is a hidden gem.
I don't know where to start describing this place. On the one hand I want to tell the whole world about how wonderful it is and on the other hand I don't want to share it so that this unique place can remain a secret gem 😛
You will appreciate and love this beautiful location if you have an eye for detail, if relaxation and unwinding are more important to you than binge drinking and if you can appreciate the quiet but central location.
Lily and the hosts will make sure you have an unforgettable time and are always available for insider tips. The lodge, rooms and beds are very well maintained and clean and the highlight, apart from the pool and sun loungers, is the incredibly delicious breakfast, which is prepared daily with fresh fruit and treats.
