Who Are We?

Simply put, we are a family of adventurers, explorers, foodies, and lovers of a good time! We are all about pushing ourselves out of our comfort zone, meeting new people, and creating memories to last a lifetime.

Having grown up in this paradise that we call Praia da Luz on the south coast of Portugal and being fortunate enough to travel, surf, and have adventures throughout our lives, we have always wanted to create a space where we can offer a unique stay with activities and adventures that connects like-minded travellers from all over the world and allows them to enjoy all that the sunny Algarve has to offer.

As a family, we all have different passions and holiday preferences so we wanted to offer a place where all people can find their level of excitement — whether it’s hiking to watch the sunset from the clifftop, stand-up paddleboarding through the caves of the famous Ponta da Piedade, rock climbing and cliff jumping off the sun-kissed cliffs, surfing the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, lying by the pool reading a book, sipping on cocktails, or enjoying some yoga. We are sure that you will feel truly alive and find what you are looking for at Vida Boa Lodge.

At Vida Boa Lodge you can expect fresh, modern, spacious rooms. The shared dormitory rooms are renowned for being more comfortable than most other hostel dorms in the area, with our custom-built “cocoons” featuring private reading lights and USB charging points. The private rooms with ensuite bathrooms and balconies give you the option of either two single beds or a giant king-size — all in your own private space.

The main feature of the Lodge is the massive 12m outdoor swimming pool. And as if that is not enough, we have two fantastic social hubs — one indoor with a large TV and sofa, and one outdoor with an outdoor bar serving mouth-watering cocktails and refreshing thirst-quenchers, a large chillout area with rattan sofas and bean bags, and an outdoor kitchen featuring a wood-fired oven where we serve mouth-watering meals on selected nights of the week, ranging from homemade pizzas and classic paellas to typical Portuguese dishes.

We also have a selection of fitness equipment, a table tennis table, and onsite yoga classes on both mats and SUP boards, and so much more.

For travellers, yogis, surfers, adventurers, chillaxers, digital nomads — and mostly for those looking for a good time — Vida Boa Lodge is the new up-and-coming place to visit. Go to the beach, go for a surf, enjoy the local food or get some sun — just know that at the end of every day you have your comfortable home away from home waiting for you.
